Welcome to Transcend Trauma UK

At Transcend Trauma UK, we offer an empathic space for those who have experienced trauma,  or those seeking to support family members, friends or those they work with.

Drawing on over 30 years of both personal and professional experience in trauma and dissociation, along with extensive training and application of therapeutic interventions for people who have experienced sexual abuse, harm or sexual assault, domestic abuse, single incident trauma and complex trauma across all age groups.

Our goal is to work therapeutically and creatively with individuals to build positive lives after experiencing various traumatic events. We provide a range of resources and support through the website,  Instagram, Facebook and training events. We aim to create a safe online space where questions can be asked and appropriate encouragement can be found.

We look forward to hearing from you on one of our platforms.

Training Events

Training events for both those who have experienced trauma and dissociation and for professionals seeking to increase their awareness and skill in working in a more trauma informed way.

We are a CPD approved provider

Healing Workshops

Themed workshops focussed on both healing and understanding trauma. We seek to normalise the way the brain has adapted to protect us in times of trauma, demystify and destigmatise dissociation and think creatively about personal growth in a safe and empathic space.

Future Developments

We are working with the health sector to advocate for trauma focussed care, particularly for dental procedures and those where touch is triggering.

We are working on a book to explore the therapeutic process of working with CPTSD, multiple parts and, at times, extreme dissociation from the perspective of both therapist and client.  If you are interested in supporting the development of this book or want to hear more, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of trauma do you specialise in?

We specialise in a wide range of traumas, including but not limited to, childhood trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD and dissociative disorders. Our approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients, regardless of their specific experiences. We have supported people of all ages with sexual abuse, domestic abuse, sudden traumatic loss and accidents. Please contact us for further details.

How can the workshops benefit me?

Our workshops are designed to compliment the resources and content that we share through our social media platforms and website. They will focus on specific areas of trauma and offer you some time to understand how this has impacted your life.

The workshop format allows you to speak with others who have comparable experiences as well as ourselves.

What should I expect in my first counselling session?

In your first session, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where you can share at your own pace. We'll discuss your goals and how we can work together towards healing and recovery. It's an opportunity to ask questions and get to know your counsellor.

Can we book training for my team?

Yes! We are able to book training events for teams of 10 or more people. Please contact us about any specific requirements and we will try to support your teams development.
